Native Design Ltd, Boston, MA, United States
Description
Shape the Future of Innovation.
Native is one of the world’s leading independent design and innovation consultancies. With 25 years of experience driving transformational change for global brands across Europe and the US, we’re now looking to expand our reach in the medical technology sector.
We’re hiring a remote Business Development Manager located in the US with the confidence, clarity and ambition to open new doors and build relationships with world-class clients – particularly in health, pharma, med tech, and beyond.
This is a rare opportunity to help shape the US presence of a respected design studio that fuses industrial design, digital experience, and engineering under one roof. You’ll work closely with our Design Strategy and Leadership team in London, to identify, engage and secure new business opportunities with some of the most innovative organisations in the world.
What You'll Do:
- Develop and lead new business efforts across key verticals, especially med tech and healthcare.
- Build meaningful relationships with decision-makers, from first outreach to pitch.
- Qualify and prioritise opportunities based on commercial value and creative potential.
- Collaborate with strategists, designers and engineers to shape powerful, tailored proposals.
- Represent Native at industry events, conferences, exhibitions and networking sessions.
- Help define and evolve our business development strategy as we scale – both in the UK and internationally.
Who You Are:
You’re not just a networker – you’re a builder. Someone who thrives on spotting opportunities, making meaningful connections, and seeing things through. You likely bring:
- Proven experience winning new business in design, innovation, or med tech sectors.
- Strong written and verbal skills, with the ability to create compelling, structured proposals.
- Strategic thinking and commercial awareness – understand where design adds value.
- A natural connector, who enjoys meeting people and building trusted relationships.
- Organised and proactive, with a sharp eye for detail and excellent follow-through.
- Collaborative by default, and comfortable working across teams to bring opportunities to life.
- Ambitious and entrepreneurial, with ideas on how we can do things better, smarter and bigger.
- Optimally located on the east coast, to maximise crossover time with our London office.
Why us?
We take care of our people and reward those who help us grow.
- Competitive base salary + performance-based commission
- 401(k) with Empower – secure your future while you build ours
- Comprehensive health & dental plans
- 24/7 Employee Assistance Program (EAP) – including resources for personal, family and professional wellbeing
- TriNet Perks – discounts and benefits across travel, wellness, learning, and more
- Regular London visits – we’ll fly you over to connect with the studio, join strategic planning sessions, and take part in company social events.
- A genuinely independent studio – no parent company calling the shots. No politics. Just a team of curious, passionate people shaping the future of design.
