Computational biologist with strong technical and programming background. My main interests are computational cancer genomics, virology, use of statistics and predictive models, programming, algorithms, artificial intelligence, machine learning and parallel programming.

Bioinformatics Officer Jan 2016 -
Study of risk factors of prostate cancer. Currently collaborating with ICGC Project, attendance on international meetings.
Analyses being performed include NGS of germline whole genomes, eQTL, co-localisation of variants, PCA, variant annotation, haplotype analysis, genotype imputation.
Used to working with several file formats like FASTQ, BAM, VCF.
Tools used include Picard tools, SAMtools, BWA, cutadapt, FastQC, IGV, GATK, VEP, wAnnovar, Oncotator, FastQTL, PLINK, Impute2, several R packages like SNPRelate, haplostats, snpstats.
Programming languages include R, Python and Shell script.
Machine Learning algorithms include Random Forests, Neural Networks, SVM, linear and logistic regression, using NumPy, Scipy, sklearn packages.
