Dr. R. Kamaraj is an accomplished Immunologist, Immunogeneticist, and Genomics Specialist with over 15 years of combined experience in research, diagnostics, higher education, and academic administration. He obtained his Ph.D. in Immunology from Madurai Kamaraj University, where his doctoral research focused on the molecular screening of immune response genes in South Indian populations. His academic foundation includes a Master's degree in Biotechnology and a Bachelor's degree in Zoology with Biotechnology.

Throughout his professional career, Dr. Kamaraj has held several key positions, including Consultant – Genomics at Neuberg Center for Genomic Medicine, Assistant Professor at Rathinam College of Arts and Science, Assistant Professor at PRIST Deemed to be University, and Research Fellow at Madurai Kamaraj University. His work has successfully integrated research, diagnostics, and teaching, enabling him to contribute significantly to both academic and clinical sectors. 

His primary areas of expertise include Immunology, Immunogenetics, Transplantation Immunology, Human Population Genetics, and Genomic Diagnostics. He possesses extensive hands-on experience in transplantation-related diagnostic techniques such as HLA typing, Flow Cytometry Crossmatch, Lymphocyte Crossmatch, Panel Reactive Antibody (PRA), Donor Specific Antibody (DSA), Single Antigen Bead (SAB) assays, KIR typing, Next-Generation Sequencing (NGS), and Real-Time PCR. His research findings have been published in reputed international journals, including Genome Biology, PLOS ONE, Egyptian Journal of Medical Human Genetics, Russian Journal of Genetics, Frontiers in Nanotechnology, Stem Cell Reviews and Reports, and other peer-reviewed journals. His work has helped improve understanding of genetic diversity and disease associations in South Indian populations. 

In academia, Dr. Kamaraj has actively guided postgraduate students, developed curriculum content, and participated in institutional governance as a Board of Studies Member, Valuation Board Member, Innovation Activity Coordinator, NSS Programme Officer, and Ph.D. Guide. He has organized and coordinated several national and international conferences, workshops, seminars, and training programs, particularly in biotechnology, immunology, and life sciences. 

His scholarly achievements extend beyond research publications. He has authored the textbook Immunology (2024), edited conference proceedings, and contributed book chapters to Springer publications on nanotechnology and biomedical applications. He currently serves as an Academic Editor for the journal PLOS ONE and as a reviewer for multiple international journals, demonstrating his commitment to scientific quality and peer review. 

Dr. Kamaraj's contributions have been recognized through several prestigious awards, including the International Excellence Award for Research and Development (2024), UGC-BSR Meritorious Fellowship, and Best Researcher in Medical Sciences Award. He is also a life member of professional organizations such as the Indian Immunology Society, the Society for Experimental Biology and Medicine, and the International Association of Engineers.
