Summary

After graduating from Lund University with a Master's in Molecular Biology, majoring in Molecular Genetics and Biotechnology, I was introduced to cancer/tumour biology and lung biology amongst others where immune cells were mentioned often as key players; these ‘teasers’ left me eager to learn more about immunology in particular.
Now I am working on regulating immune responses towards bone regeneration via biomaterials. It’s an interdisciplinary field that applies immunology, stem cell biology, and tissue engineering to find immunomodulatory biomaterial platforms.
I'm a curious young scientist, passionate about research in the medical field and enjoy lab work. Luckily, Molecular Biology is applied in various research fields and is ever-evolving regarding new methods and techniques which are fun to learn. I am currently still trying to figure out my main field of interest. So far I really enjoy (Molecular) Genetics, Immunology, Medical Biology, Cancer/Tumour Biology as well as Cell Biology.
For my future in science, it's still open whether I will want to work in Academia or in Industry, however, I would like to obtain a PhD education before deciding on a career path.
