Summary
Presently, I am Senior Consultant at Institute of Child Health, Kolkata where I set up a lab for Molecular Diagnostics.I was a professor of Biotechnology at Haldia Institute of Technology and do research in Bioremediation, phytopathogenic fungi and metagenomics. Earlier,I had set up the Dept of Biotechnology at Burdwan University and have supervised Ph.D.work of nine scholars.I also have experience in industrial R & D in a number of Indian and European organizations.

I have an ongoing research project from WBDST on Improving the efficiency of Microbiological fertilizers for environmental stresses.
