Summary
Creative Biogene has established a mature microbial fermentation platform to meet customer needs, consisting of large fermentation tanks, bioreactors, and large-scale purification systems, which can enable us to provide high-purity and kilogram level products by different types of cultivation, at any scale from 5 to 10,000L.
Introduction
Microbial fermentation is a complicated process. According to different standards, the types of microbial fermentation are usually divided as follows:
• Aerobic fermentation and anaerobic fermentation.
• Solid fermentation, semi-solid fermentation and liquid fermentation.
• Surface fermentation and submerged fermentation.
• Batch fermentation and continuous fermentation.
• Free cell fermentation and immobilized cell fermentation.
• Pure culture fermentation and mixed fermentation.
Procedure
1. Aerobic Fermentation and Anaerobic Fermentation
In our large-scale industrial aerobic fermentation production, large-scale fermentation tanks equipped with spray devices, stirring devices and sterile air supply systems are often used to ensure that aerobic microorganisms carry out aerobic respiration and grow normally. Aerobic fermentation is widely used for the production of amino acids, antibiotics, enzyme preparations and most organic acids.
In our large-scale industrial production, anaerobic fermentation is often carried out in a sealed and air-free anaerobic fermentation tank. Our anaerobic fermentation has been applied in the production of lactic acid bacteria products.
2. Liquid Fermentation and Solid Fermentation
Liquid fermentation has a wide range of applications and is easy to mechanize and automated production. Most modern fermentation industries use liquid fermentation. Besides, the related technology of our solid fermentation is also developing rapidly, and it has been applied in the production of certain microbial pesticides and bacterial fertilizers.
3. Continuous Fermentation and Batch Fermentation
At present, continuous fermentation has been used for the large-scale production of ethanol, single-cell protein, edible yeast, etc. In batch fermentation, substrate and microorganism are loaded into the fermenter batch-wise, and this is the most popular and simple method for ethanol production. Our batch fermentation has the advantages of low investment costs, simple control and operations, and easy-to-maintain complete sterilization.
In actual production, a variety of methods are often combined to carry out fermentation production. The basis for selection includes the characteristics of bacteria, products and raw materials, technical feasibility, equipment status, etc. Our modern large-scale fermentation is a combination of different fermentation processes.
