Abstract

In the study, three types of homoisoflavonoids were isolated from the roots of fresh Portulaca oleracea L. The electrospray ionization (ESI) mass spectral fragmentation pathways of these compounds were proposed. The fragmentation rules were successfully applied for the analysis of the homoisoflavonoids of the fresh and dried Portulaca oleracea L. A total of 28 homoisoflavonoids were identified or tentatively characterized by HPLC-DAD-ESIMS2. There were no significant differences of homoisoflavonoids detected in this batch of dried and fresh herbs of P. oleracea L. More samples from various areas are needed to further compare the differences of homoisoflavonoids between them.
