Abstract

Psammoma bodies in Pap smears from IUD users are rare, with reported prevalence ranging from 0.0047% to 0.009%. We observed laminated calcified structures among squamous, glandular and inflammatory cells on liquid-based cytology from the uterine cervix, features consistent with psammoma bodies.
