Abstract
The guidelines for site soil contamination health risk assessment in the United States and the United Kingdom were developed earlier and have established a relatively complete assessment system. International organizations such as the World Health Organization and the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations, as well as countries like Canada and Australia, have also issued a certain number of guidelines for the health risk assessment of site pollution soil contamination. However, for the assessment of health risks from agricultural land soil contamination, both at home and abroad, no detailed special guidelines have been compiled. Therefore, this paper systematically reviews the technical guidelines, standards, and other normative documents officially promulgated by the public health and environmental protection authorities of China, the United States, the United Kingdom, Australia, Japan, Canada, and other countries on soil contamination health risk assessment, summarizes the overall framework and methods of the evaluations at home and abroad, compares the differences among them, and then proposes suggestions for guiding the standardized implementation of agricultural land soil contamination health risk assessment in China.
