Abstract
A comparative analysis of value orientations was conducted among working and non-working retirees within the framework of active longevity. The study involved 120 participants aged 60-70 years (middle age: 66 ± 1years): 60 individuals employed in higher and vocational education and 60 retirees engaged in familial and community activities. The Terminal Values Questionnaire was administered to assess individual priorities. Results indicated that employed retirees scored higher on values related to financial security, creativity, social engagement, and self-development, whereas non-working retirees prioritized achievement and civic involvement. These findings underscore the importance of tailoring psychological support and social interventions to accommodate divergent motivational and value-based profiles, ultimately fostering the sustained well-being and active potential of older adults.
