Abstract

Extranasopharyngeal angiofibromas (ENGA) are benign fibrous vascular tumors that grow aggressively and are accompanied by destruction of the bones of the base of the skull and damage to nearby anatomical structures. The clinical manifestations of ENGA are rather nonspecific and largely depend on the localization (nasal septum, inferior nasal concha, upper jaw, etc.). The article presents a clinical case of endonasal endoscopic resection of ENGA with simultaneous X-ray-associated endovascular embolization of the tumor's supply vessels. The data of computed tomography with contrast, histological and immunohistochemical studies play an important role in the diagnosis.
