Abstract

To optimize the management tactics for patients with traumatic perforation of the eardrum by using information technologies.
A prospective study of 112 patients was conducted at the otolaryngology department of the 426th Military Hospital of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation from June 2021 to April 2023. This study assessed the likelihood of persistent tympanic perforation of traumatic etiology depending on the parameters studied.
A statistically significant relationship was found between the persistence of tympanic membrane perforation for 6 months with a perforation size of more than 50%, active discharge, persistence of perforation 3 months after injury, dysfunction of the Eustachian tube on the side of the perforation, and subtotal perforation.
The implementation of a mathematical prognostic model for the probability of persistence of traumatic perforation of the eardrum will allow for the determination of surgical treatment tactics at an early stage and a reduction in the period of disability.
