Abstract

A alkaloid identified as 8-(2-hydroxyethyl)-3,8-diazabicyclo[4.2.0]octa-1,4,6-triene-2-carbaldehyde named Oleradiazahyde was isolated. Its skeleton was assigned by UV, IR, NMR, as well as UHPLC-ESI-Q-TOF/MS. Simultaneously, LPS-activated RAW 264.7 tests revealed that 15 μM compound suppressed NO/IL-6, and 5 μM restrained IL-1β secretion. At 15 μM, oleradiazahyde greatly reduced iNOS protein as well as iNOS and COX-2 mRNA. This compound also restrained COX-2 protein production when administered at 5 μM.
