Abstract

Organic materials consisting of two stable charged radicals are rare but fascinating systems. In this communication, we present the first charge transfer complex of a dimethylphenazine radical cation with a furazano[3,4-b]pyrazine-based radical anion. The SC XRD study revealed that the cation-anion (C-A) stacking motif depends on the solvent. Thus, -C-A-C-A- stacks are formed in THF, whereas an -A-A-C-C- stacking pattern is observed in CH2Cl2. Additionally, its features were investigated with PXRD, SQUID and computational methods.
