Abstract
This paper examines how U.S. pesticide science and regulatory frameworks contribute to global food security. It details the use of USDA and FDA monitoring data alongside modernized dietary models (FDD/FCID) to improve the transparency, reproducibility, and potential accuracy of risk assessments. While domestic systems show high compliance, the paper highlights persistent challenges in global harmonization, including the hazard- versus risk-based regulatory divide and emerging methodologies like GECDE. Ultimately, achieving consistent global food safety alignment requires bridging regulatory differences through transparent, validated data and international coordination to support trade, consumer confidence, and an abundant food supply for all.
