Abstract

3-Methyleneazetidine, a four-membered heterocycle bearing a reactive exocyclic methylene group, is introduced as a versatile building block for the synthesis of functional polysulfonamides. Its combination of ring strain and exocyclic unsaturation enables efficient incorporation into polymer backbones, affording polysulfonamides with unique structural features and opportunities for post-polymerization modification.
