Abstract

The age of acquisition of EBV infection has been suggested to be determinative in whether an individual develops multiple sclerosis. This correlation may be the consequence of the difference in the immune response to EBV between children and adults. In this narrative review, we explored whether the age of EBV infection as determined by seroepidemiological studies is associated with the prevalence of MS in various populations.
