Abstract

Primary aldosteronism (PA) is a significant cause of secondary hypertension. While accurate subtyping diagnosis is crucial for determining the treatment strategy for this condition, performing this subtyping remains highly challenging in clinical practice. Therefore, based on current evidence and clinical practice in China, a panel of domestic experts in the field developed this consensus through multiple rounds of Delphi discussions, focusing on the target population, methods, and PA subtyping process.
