Abstract

Two Schiff-base metallamacrocycles (M1 and M2) containing pyridine-2,6-dicarboxamide units were successfully synthesized using a new synthetic route. This route has been proven to be more convenient than the conventional route and to result in higher yields. Adsorption measurements revealed that both M1 and M2 exhibit good adsorption capacities towards methanol vapor.
