Abstract

The genus Pseudonocardia is known for siderophore production that helps plants in iron uptake. In this study, we report the draft genome of Pseudonocardia alni M29 isolated as an endophyte from healthy maize plants. De novo genome assembly resulted in 53 contigs (>500 bp) with overall genome size of 5.96 Mb. A total of 5525 protein coding genes were predicted of which 2390 (43.3%) and 137 (0.02%) were annotated by KEGG and CAZy database, respectively. CheckM and BUSCO genome analysis revealed 98.87% genome completeness with only three fragmented and one missing BUSCO genes, respectively. The raw data of the Pseudonocardia alni M29 draft genome shotgun project are accessible at NCBI.
