Abstract

Different dietary regimens are being explored as safe, low-cost approaches to enhance cancer therapy. This protocol describes the evaluation of antitumor and metabolic effects of intermittent fasting (IF) combined with cisplatin and metformin in an ovarian cancer patient-derived xenograft (PDX) model. Procedures include IF cycles, drug administration, antitumor activity assessment, drug quantification in plasma and tumors, toxicity evaluation, and immunohistochemical analyses.
