Abstract
Electrocatalytic co-reduction of CO2 and NO to methylamine represents an appealing route for sustainable methylamine (MMA) synthesis, yet its experimental investigation is still missing. Herein, we develop an atomically dispersed Mo within a Cu matrix (Mo1Cu) alloy as a high-performance catalyst. Mechanistic investigations reveal the Mo1-Cu dual site synergy in promoting the co-activation of CO2/NO to key *HCHO/*NH2OH intermediates and their C-N coupling for target MMA generation. Notably, Mo1Cu assembled in an MEA electrolyzer delivers an exceptional faradaic efficiency of 59.4% and an MMA yield rate of 73.64 mmol h-1 g-1 along with robust stability for over 120 h of electrolysis.
