Abstract

Recent research in the science of kindness in nursing, social, and biological sciences, inspired by ancient world religious wisdom and practices, is reviewed in this paper. Awareness, connectedness, insight, and a sense of purpose are explored here as a path to human flourishing for nurses. Kindness is considered for application in nursing administration, education, and practice.
