Abstract

Intraductal oncocytic papillary neoplasm is a rare tumor of pancreatic duct epithelia with a good prognosis. The tumor has unique morphologic and genetic properties that distinguish it from intraductal papillary mucinous neoplasm. Here we present a case report and a literature review of intraductal oncocytic papillary neoplasm of the pancreas in a 56-year-old women. Histologic and immunohistochemical diagnostic criteria of the tumor are given, as well as the similarity with fibrolamellar hepatocellular carcinoma. The rarity of the tumor and the absence of described cases in the domestic literature make this case report of interest to pathologists and physicians.
