Abstract

We demonstrate a high-speed, DC-bias-stable Mach-Zehnder electro-optic modulator at 532 nm on a thin-film lithium tantalate on insulator (LTOI) platform. The devices exhibit a minimum half-wave-voltage-length product (VπL) of 0.22 V⋅cm, a propagation loss of 9.16 dB/cm, and a 3-dB electro-optic bandwidth exceeding 20 GHz, with the output power fluctuation remaining within 1 dB over 10 minutes under continuous visible optical pumping at an input power of 11.8 dBm. These results highlight LTOI's combination of low-voltage, high-speed, and stable performance, positioning it as a promising platform for integrated visible photonics.
