Abstract

The GALFLU trial showed a lower incidence of hospitalisation among adults aged 65-79 years randomised to high-dose inactivated influenza vaccine (HD-IIV) compared with standard-dose inactivated influenza vaccine (SD-IIV). This Bayesian re-analysis estimated an >80% probability of benefit (rVE >10%) against influenza-or-pneumonia-related hospitalisation, supporting the benefit of HD-IIV over SD-IIV.
