Abstract

A convenient SDS-promoted strategy enables the synthesis of a 42-member library of structurally diverse 3,4-dihydroquinazolines in an aqueous medium. The protocol features mild reaction conditions, operational simplicity, and facile scalability. Synthetic transformations highlight the versatility of the scaffold, while preliminary biological evaluation identifies compound 3v as a promising inhibitor against U87 glioblastoma cells.
