Abstract

A palladium-catalyzed three-component cascade [3+2] cyclization/C-H activation using (2-bromophenyl)boronates as C2 building blocks is reported. The transformation utilizes azoles or polyfluoroarenes as distinct coupling partners to enable Suzuki-Miyaura coupling/Heck cyclization followed by C-H activation, offering an efficient and convenient route to functionalized fluorene derivatives. Moreover, this new approach exhibits excellent regioselectivity and broad substrate scope.
