Abstract

We present a zero-field optically pumped magnetometer using a 300 µm-thick rubidium vapor cell, which is read out with a camera. The camera enables the measurement system to take more than 7 000 individual measurement points in a circle of 4 mm diameter using a single vapor cell. Using the camera allows a spatial resolution of approximately 40 µm, which is limited by the quality of the optical signal. The measurement of a dynamic magnetic-field gradient, oscillating with a frequency of 130 Hz, confirms that the magnetic-field camera can record time-dependent magnetic field patterns.
