Abstract

Bismuth amides represent an important class of compounds with cationic and neutral species having been explored in coordination chemistry, reactivity studies, and catalysis. Here we present the first series of neutral, cationic, and anionic bismuth(III) amides featuring simple monodentate ligands, including the peerless example of a tetrakis(amido)bismuthate(III), [Bi(NR2)4]-.
