Abstract

Hiatal hernia (HH) is common among patients with obesity and is frequently identified during preoperative evaluation for Roux-en-Y gastric bypass (RYGB). However, postoperative hiatal pouch migration after RYGB remains poorly characterized, with previous reports largely limited to symptomatic patients or small case series. We aimed to describe the frequency and imaging characteristics of postoperative hiatal pouch migration in a large retrospective cohort of patients undergoing RYGB.
