Abstract

With the population aged 65 years and over projected to represent 1 in 6 people by 2050, expanding health care systems' capacity to support healthy aging in place is a growing global priority. In this News and Perspectives article, JMIR Correspondent Jenna Congdon reports on an AI-enabled system in Canada with the potential to extend health care capacity by supporting older adults to age safely and independently in place.
