Abstract

Objective To establish an QIAxcel Advanced automatic nucleic acid analysis system with high sensitivity and specificity for detecting the fetal Diego blood group. Methods Preliminary simulation of non-invasive prenatal detection of different proportions of fetal free DNA content in maternal plasma. QIAxcel Advanced automatic nucleic acid analysis system was used to detect the Dia antigen sequences in simulated DNA to verify the accuracy and sensitivity of the method. ResultsQIAxcel Advanced automatic nucleic acid analysis system successfully detected the Dia antigen sequences in different proportions of simulated DNA. Moreover, the sex-determining region Y (SRY) gene sequences of male fetuses in different proportions of simulated DNA were detected. Conclusion The QIAxcel Advanced automatic nucleic acid analysis system can be used for non-invasive prenatal detection of the DI*A genotype in Diego blood group system.
