Head and Neck CT Lymphangiography in a Dog With Cutaneous Lymphangiosarcoma.

Abstract

A 9-year-old neutered male Australian Cattle Dog presented for severe, extensive, and progressive swelling of the neck and face. CT lymphangiography (CTL) of the head and neck demonstrated cervical lymphedema with imaging features of mid-cervical lymphatic obstruction, regional lymphatic leakage, and local lymphadenopathy. A final diagnosis of lymphangiosarcoma was obtained by histopathology, postulated to be the origin of the lymphatic obstruction. To the author's knowledge, this is the first description of a head and neck CTL as an aid in the diagnosis of lymphangiosarcoma in a dog.
