Abstract

An overall quality description strategy was established for Lonicera japonica using ultra-high performance liquid chromatography combined with high-resolution mass spectrometry approach. Global chemical profiles were unscrambled via gradient-solvent extraction combined with information dependent acquisition, primary components were fully extracted. Quality indicators were located in view of constituents absorbed into blood, transformation inference and anti-inflammatory evaluation. The accumulated contents and correlation coefficient of quality indicators based on multiple reaction monitoring were applied for quality control. As a result, 115 of chemical profiles were identified. The contents of flavonoids, prenol lipids, alcohols and polyols were 110.00 mg/g, 58.44 mg/g, and 41.47 mg/g under the unified technology. 17 of bioactive chemical indicators were screened out. The chemical indicators' accumulations of Lonicera japonica in different origins ranged from 43.68 mg/g to 56.80 mg/g, and the correlation coefficient was higher than 0.85. Our study provides a novel pattern of systematic quality control for Lonicera japonica.
