Abstract

to identify available scientific evidence on educational technologies for the prevention and management of extravasation of antineoplastic agents.
an integrative review was conducted in November 2024, searching the MEDLINE (via PubMed), CINAHL (EBSCO), Web of Science, Scopus, Embase, BDENF, LILACS, and SciELO databases.
in total, 2,272 educational technologies were found, of which three comprised the final sample. The identified educational technologies presented variety in the design of pedagogical instruments focused on addressing the extravasation of antineoplastic substances, such as bundles, educational videos, and clinical protocols. In summary, they proved to be innovative strategies in the care of cancer patients, in addition to acting as didactic resources that enhance and facilitate access to evidence-based practice.
educational technologies contribute to improving the quality of oncological care in clinical practice, proving to be effective strategies in training nurses and strengthening safer and more well-founded care.
