Abstract
to map the available evidence on integrated work processes between community health workers and vector control agents in primary health care.
this scoping review was conducted in November 2024 using the Cochrane Library, Embase, the Latin American and Caribbean Health Sciences Literature database, PubMed, Scopus, and Web of Science.
nine documents met the inclusion criteria-five articles, one conference proceedings abstract, one e-book, one monograph, and one law-underscoring the importance of professional integration to reduce fragmentation in primary health care.
the limited number of publications indicates a substantial evidence gap. Integration between these two professional groups may strengthen public health actions and support more efficient vector control efforts, while also contributing to responses to other public health priorities.
