Broadband chaos generation using enhanced optical frequency comb injection.

Abstract

We propose and experimentally demonstrate a scheme for generating broadband chaos using enhanced optical frequency comb injection. The underlying physical mechanism is elucidated by analyzing the interaction between the optical frequency comb and the injected laser. A detailed investigation reveals the critical influence of injection parameters and comb characteristics on the bandwidth. Experimental results show that the proposed configuration significantly broadens the chaos bandwidth, yielding a 4.3-fold increase over single-frequency optical injection and an approximately twofold increase over conventional optical frequency comb injection.
