Abstract
The everted labrum is a native labral variant characterized by hip pain and instability generated by the disruption of the acetabular suction seal. Definitive diagnosis must be made intraoperatively. Restoration of the suction seal is the central goal of treatment. Arthroscopic treatment with labral advancement, augmentation, or reconstruction significantly improves patient-reported outcomes. Utilization of an inside-out labral advancement and repair technique generates advantageous force vectors for suction seal restoration. To achieve long-term postoperative improvements in patient function and satisfaction, it is important to correct both bony and soft tissue pathology leading to symptomatic disease.
