Abstract
The surgical treatment of breast cancer has undergone significant changes in recent decades. It is evident that several domestic centres have played a pivotal role in introducing new procedures and integrating them into daily practice. Furthermore, the dissemination of their own results and experiences has contributed to the ongoing evolution of the national guidelines. In this report, we present several significant findings from our studies at the Surgical Department of University of Szeged, primarily those related to early- stage breast tumours and axillary surgery.
