Abstract

Late clinical referrals in low-resource setting paediatrics lead to high childhood mortality and cause disabilities. This issue becomes even worse in settings where the public health system is overloaded owing to the lack of staff and proper resources. Where an inability to deliver timely healthcare results, the frustration of parents often leads to aggression towards healthcare professionals working on the frontlines. This report analyses the connection between late presentations, systemic issues with resources and insecurity of healthcare workers.
