Abstract

Term neonate with respiratory distress had a giant cystic intrapericardial mass causing cardiopulmonary compression and effusion. Echocardiography and chest tomographic defined the anatomy; surgical resection confirmed an immature pericardial teratoma with a favourable diagnosis.
