Abstract

In the eukaryotic nucleus, the establishment and maintenance of DNA topological states depend on the complex interplay of nucleosomes, topoisomerase enzymes, DNA transactions, and environmental temperature. This article describes and integrates the roles of these participants in this intricate yet fascinating biological phenomenon.
