Abstract

Comparing 1- and 2-adamantanol reveals that OH position controls H-bond topology, phase transitions, and ferroelastic domain evolution. 2-Adamantanol exhibits a reversible ferroelastic transition near 328 K with domain evolution and stress-induced domain-wall motion, highlighting molecular symmetry engineering as a simple design strategy.
