Abstract

C2N14 (1-diazidocarbamoyl-5-azidotetrazole, "azidoazide azide") is one of the most famous energetic compounds owing to its extraordinary nitrogen content and extreme sensitivity. Herein, we report the synthesis and comprehensive characterization of its previously unknown constitutional isomer, 5-azido-2-diazidocarbamoyltetrazole (C2N14, 3) by single crystal X-ray diffraction, 13C, 14N NMR and IR spectroscopy.
