Abstract

Diphenylalanine amphiphiles can self-assemble into diverse morphologies. While structural modifications thereof are well studied, little is known on solvent effects that govern the assembly process. Here, diphenylalanine amphiphiles containing N-terminal fatty acids are systematically studied in acetonitrile/water mixtures. These show morphologies ranging from 0D micelles to extended 2D nanosheets.
