Abstract

Health care organizations increasingly operate in environments characterized by financial pressure, workforce strain, regulatory complexity, and rapid technological change. As a result, the ability to implement and sustain organizational transformation has become a core leadership competency. This review examines major conceptual frameworks for change management and explores the structural and cultural factors that influence successful implementation in health care settings. Key domains include building urgency, engaging stakeholders, aligning governance structures, integrating new workflows into clinical practice, and sustaining improvement through measurement and reinforcement. Together, these principles provide guidance for leaders seeking to translate strategy into durable improvements in care delivery.
