Abstract

Choosing the proper metrics to define quality for pulmonary resection for cancer is an important, yet complex task. The Society of Thoracic Surgeons has developed both short-term and long-term lung cancer resection risk models that have been used for risk estimation and quality improvement purposes. Based on real-world data, these models are now available for direct application to patient care.
