Shehata, "Effect of Follicular Diameter at the Time of Ovulation Triggering on Pregnancy Outcomes During Intrauterine Insemination," International Journal of Gynecology & Obstetrics 139, no. 2(2017): 174-179, https://doi.org/10.1002/ijgo.12291. The above article, published online on 03 August 2017 in Wiley Online Library (wileyonlinelibrary.com) has been retracted by agreement between the journal Editor-in-Chief, Michael Geary; and John Wiley & Sons Ltd. Concerns were raised by a third party regarding the timeline of the study, the reported statistical results, and data irregularities. When the editorial team assessed the article, they confirmed these issues by re-calculating the p-values reported in the tables. The p-value for ongoing pregnancy or for livebirth is reported as 0.013 in Table 3. However, re-calculation of the p-value results in a non-significant result (p = 0.1228), when comparing the 19-20 mm group to the other groups. As a result, the reported conclusions are considered unreliable, since this re-calculation of the p-value differs from those used by the authors to support their conclusions. As a result, the Editor-in-Chief has lost confidence in the data and conclusions of the article. Therefore, a retraction is warranted. When informed of the decision to retract, M.A. Maher on behalf of the authors, disagreed with this outcome.
