Abstract
This article introduces Professor WANG Hua's clinical experience in treating mammary gland hyperplasia with the "double consolidation and one unblocking" acupuncture method. Professor WANG considers that deficiency of the spleen and kidney, disharmony of the Chong meridian and conception vessel, liver qi stagnation, and obstruction caused by phlegm-qi stagnation are the fundamental pathogenesis of this disease. Guided by the principle of "protecting healthy qi and treating diseases through prevention", Professor WANG applies the "double consolidation and one unblocking" acupuncture method, consolidating the congenital foundation (Guanyuan [CV4]) and acquired foundation (Zusanli [ST36]) to strengthen healthy qi, while emphasizing soothing the liver and regulating qi (Taichong [LR3]) and unblocking local lesions (ashi points or symptom-based selected points). Through precise acupoint selection, combined use of acupuncture and moxibustion, and simultaneous application of reinforcing and reducing methods, this approach nourishes the congenital foundation, strengthens the acquired foundation, and eliminates pathogenic factors, achieving favorable clinical outcomes in the treatment of mammary gland hyperplasia.
